Along with Futures Program, prerequisites are provided for the writing of thesis in the Advanced Post Graduate Studies of the International College of Interdisciplinary Sciences.
Education, Learning and Teaching, A New Curriculum Perspective for the 21stCentury
The rapid changes in technology and the amount of accessible information to learners throughout the world coupled with the speed of change has brought innumerable changes to our perspectives in formal education to colleges and University programs. Post-Graduate Courses will become more student oriented with peer review and interactivity among the students and staff in online environments. We have only just begun to see the potential of “learning by learners.”
Goals of the Program in Education When a student completes the education modules they will:
- Have acquired skills to design curriculum, of their own creation, and syllabus, for more effective learning about possible future developments education and other areas
- Be competent to design and carry out a research project, with a final write up .
- Be able to carry out a research project in any field using Grounded Theory or standard methods .
- Be competent to help others design a curriculum project implementing concepts of the new paradigm with output objectives and goals.
Curriculum Creation and Redevelopment
Curriculum development will become a n experiential venture as participants put a new face on the historical models and create new models for this learning age. . In this program the participants begin by creating the needs assessment of their group which may include a variety of groups and further the demands of output objectives as required for the quality assurance from the Bologna Conference. Participants will be taught the significance of output objectives and its meaning to the quality assurance framework and learning by achieving the objectives. Participants will explore various modes of organizing content for a curriculum , and identify and apply criteria in the selection of methods in teaching will be analyzed. The need for and methods of evaluating a curriculum will be studied. Participants will develop a curriculum in a an area of their choice which would be suitable for a series of assignments. Teaching for Effective Learning
The goal of this program is to help students become effective teachers. The program will cover the basics underlying the development of effective teaching. Students will learn how to write learning objectives how to develop methods appropriate for selected skills to be learned , how to deliver different types of lessons from lectures to teaching in small groups, workshops tutorials, and other methods . Types of assessments will be studied . Students will be expected to go to Conferences in their area of interest and evaluate the teaching according to criteria learned in the program. Student will be able to develop their ideas on projects and new interactive teaching . Participants will make a videotape of a 40 minute teaching session they are teaching. The Future of International Labor Law in the 21st Century
Dr. Vesna Baltezarevic
This program focuses on the theoretical and practical approach to the development of intellectual creativity and the work environment that, depending on the applied organizational communication which can stimulate creativity or disable it. The program will cover some of the essential segments of intellectual process. The primary objective of this program is to consider what Intellectual Property means for an organizational system and provides a competitive advantage in the market. Thisprogram also encourages the core issues in deciding to pursue an entrepreneurial vision , and what characteristics are vital to set up their business in a way that ensures success in business. Future entrepreneur need to know how to establish a healthy organizational climate and how to motivate employees for intellectual creativity. Proper business communication creates conditions that tacit knowledge can be transformed into explicit knowledge. Organizational climate with psychological abuse acts destructively on the work process and preventing the exploitation of tacit knowledge.
Skills to be developed in the program include analysis of argumentative texts, critical assessment of rational positions, reasoning and rational defense of views, and general ideas relating to particular situations. Furthermore, students will participate in brainstorming and other assessment processes used for evaluating ideas from conceptualizations to implementation including reflections on business climate and how an idea might fare given current economic and environmental conditions.

This program will present the traditional marketing approach and the future directions of evolving marketing communications in the real world, through the study and application of neuroscience, emotional branding and modern advertising techniques The program will be enriched with numerous quality examples in this area and creative student exercises..
Understanding consumer behavior related to is conscious, unconscious and emotional aspects, as well as the related “in between” factors is a crucial point nowadays. However, the world’s leading brands have only just started to scratch the surface of the power of “marketing capacity.”
In addition to these Post-Graduate programs above a Post-Graduate program in the Future of the Family in America will be offered by Dr. LaWanna L. Blount.
This program will be to study the social history of the American Family and its changes and the possible reasons why it has evolved to its structure today and its possible future. We will look at the Years of research of the authority on Family life in America, Andrew Cherlin and his decades of research. Quantitative and Qualitative Methodology for Research in Education
This program is designed to develop research skills of the student to carry out research for a Post-Graduate thesis . Students will learn about different types of research, how to define the problem, study types of methodologies , parts of a research project, how to design the data collection methods as questionnaires and interviews. and utilizing data that exists for qualitative research. And finally writing up the research report width tables and figures associating them to the text, and drawing conclusions and making recommendations for further research.
Qualitative Research Using Grounded Theory
Grounded Theory is Theory produced directly from the Data. Grounded Theory is spreading rapidly in popularity in the world today. , especially for students developing Master’s and doctoral work. Students will learn how to do Grounded theory and develop skils in this methodology. Discovered by Strauss and Glaser in the 1960’s , today grounded or emergent theory is rapidly taking its place among students doing theses and dissertation. Essentially it is a methodology developing theory directly from the data collected. With memoing and coding the researching finds the primary varialbled and develops his theory. This program will be a discussion and lectures by students who have created a grounded theory and will discuss their problems and issues associated with the building of Grounded Theory.
