Walker Hayes and his wife Laney face one of the most painful chapters in their life as they mourn for the loss of their baby, Oakleigh Klover. Baby Oakleigh Klover died a day before his due date, June 8.
Hayes shared the sad news on his Instagram on June 7.
“It is with great sadness that Laney and I share with you the news that our sweet Oakleigh Klover Hayes was born this morning at the hospital and now is safely in heaven,” a statement on Instagram read. “Thank you for honoring our privacy as we grieve.”
Hayes further announced the cancellation of his upcoming shows to be with his wife and family. He was expected to appear at Kick’n Up Kountry festival, and America’s River Festival as a promotion for his tour. Hayes asked in his post a respect to the family’s privacy for the time being.

Baby Oakleigh Klover is now in heaven
The couple happily announced their planning on welcoming another baby back in November 2017. They have three daughters and three sons, ages from 2 to 11.
Hayes expressed his excitement over the growing members of his family. He said that his six children were his “favorite things about life.”
“I love each and everyone of these kids and I can’t wait for another one,” Hayes told People Magazine in December 2017. “They’re all so beautiful and incredible, and watching them grow is the best thing I get to do on earth.”
Due to this unfortunate event, Hayes wasn’t able to attend the CMT Music Awards 2018 where he was nominated for Breakthrough Video of the year for his song, “You Broke Up With Me.”
Meanwhile, supporters from all over the country continue to express their prayers condolences to Hayes and his family. This is the best time to show more love to the superstar as they truly need comfort on this challenging time of their life.
Country Thang Daily sincerely mourns with Walker Hayes and his family during this difficult time. We truly believe that baby Oakleigh Klover is in safe hands right now and is also enjoying his stay in the best place one can ever stay. God bless the whole family.
