The social media giant, Facebook has announced the launch of a brand new way to read articles in a way that it promises to be a big improvement over the current experience found in Facebook’s mobile app.
Facebook has benchmarked that it takes an average of 8 seconds for articles to load on their app, which on standards, is the slowest of any single content type. Facebook is now introducing Instant Articles. A tool that can load articles as much as ten times faster than any other standard mobile web articles.
Also, Instant Answers give a promise or it to offer a richer experience for readers and publishers with the addition of new features like, auto-play video, embedded audio captions, tilt-to-pan photos, and interactive maps.
For the publisher side of things, Facebook allows them to sell ads in their own articles and keep their own revenue. On the other hand, publishers can also choose to use Facebook’s Audience Network to monetize unsold in entory. The use of com Score and other form of analytics tools will give publishers tracking ability on data and traffic numbers.
Nine publishers are confirmed for the launch of Instant Articles, which include:

– Buzz Feed
– NBC
– The Atlantic
– The Guardian
– BBC News
– Spiegel and Bild
