The bar and grill place was named as “Surf Shack”, derived from the word “Surf”, which simply means, the waves of the sea as they break upon a shore or reef. And “Shack”, a small hut. Peeps and barkadas who visited the place usually take their selfies with the “Shaka Sign”. The sign is sometimes known as “hang loose” by outsiders; a gesture of friendly intent. A common greeting in the Hawaiian or Tahitian culture, subsequently also used in surfer culture.
This Latin-American Restaurant is located at 238 National Highway, Barangay Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union. This is famously known as the National Surfing Capital of the North. Surfers, travelers and explorers love this area where the bar and grill of Surf Shack is centrally located.
The bar and grill serves their very own specialty of uniquely flavored pizzas, pastas, rice meals and other alike with satisfying cold drinks, u name it, they have it! They serve mouth-watering pizzas like, Roasted and Garlic Shrimp Pizza and Longganiza Pizza. They are uniquely made based on the ingredients added that are not usually used for pizzas, but hey, it was damn delicious, one must try!
They also serve all-time favorite, Buffalo wings with sauce and dips that nailed it! Not that big servings, but so tasty, you’ll definitely want more!
Other specialty they serve for you to enjoy the day and night are: Special Taco Rolls, Golden Tinapa Pesto, Crispy Pata, Chicken tenders and usual French Fries. Now, regarding on the food price of these specialties, they are a bit expensive but totally worth it.
The ambience of the place will fit your intention to chill and relax for days in La Union. A pretty laid back experience away from stressful work. Here are few things why you need to try this place– Special foods and cold drinks served, great place for get-together moments with friends, and the best place for chilling with buddies and barkadas. Staff and waiters are few but displayed a very friendly and warm welcoming service for everyone.

The bar and grill restaurant is open for the whole week from 10:00 AM to 3:00 AM. There might be a slight problem bringing your cars along this area, as if parking area is very limited. You might need to join “pay parking” areas around near the resto.
