Trace Adkins and the West Point Cadet Glee Club

Even the strongest and bravest men in this world cannot be saved by their physical prowess, nor the most refined and calibrated weapon or armor. The most effective and most important defense element that can triumph all kinds of danger doesn’t come from human’s innovative creation, but it comes from the Creator of humanity. Yes, God has always been generous to us, that He gave us the gift to protect and be protected through the power of prayer. And Trace Adkins must have known this fact by heart, as he asks for prayers for our soldiers in his song, “’Till the Last Shot’s Fired.”

Trace is known for his solid support to our military men. He have been writing and singing songs that relate to soldiers’ life. On his music videos, he has been featuring real-life soldiers. His travels and tours have never been complete without honoring the freedom fighters.

’Till the Last Shot’s Fired

The song is written from the perspective of a dead soldier. According to Adkins, this song gives a possible picture of what soldiers will go through if ever they die. What if they are still doomed in the terror of the war, surrounded by bombs exploding from time to time? What if they can’t find peace until war does exist and until the “last shot’s fired?” Adkins added that if nations look at soldiers’ situation in this kind of unique view, there probably would be no more wars. In the end, he asks prayers for the safety of our soldiers.

One of the all-time top country award show moments

In 2009, Trace Adkins made the ACM Awards more meaningful and memorable. He performed his song, “’Till the Last Shot’s Fired,” with Lt. Andrew Kinard of the U.S. Marines onstage. The soldier suffered from a major injury fighting for the country. As Adkins began to sing, tears started to fall. The moment went, even more, moving when the West Point Cadet Glee club entered the stage to join the singing.

All these tributes dedicated to our soldiers are reminders that they need strong and continuous prayers. The live a risky life, and at any moment, they can encounter a great danger. Again, they need our help, they need our prayers.
