Here is a teaser Shania Twain is giving us all, her beloved fans. It is her new song “Soldier” which will be a featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming film Thank You for Your Service.

The movie is based on a true story and follows a group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq struggles to integrate back into the family and civilian life while living with the memory of a war or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)  that threatens to destroy them long after they’ve left the battlefield.

Thank You for Your Service is an upcoming American biographical war drama film written and directed by Jason Hall in his directorial debut, based on the non-fiction book of the same name by David Finkel.

The film stars Miles Teller, Haley Bennett, Beulah Koale, Amy Schumer, and Scott Haze. Principal photography began on February 9, 2016, in Atlanta. It is scheduled for release on October 27, 2017.

“Soldier” is a heartfelt ballad written from the point of view of a woman worrying about her love, possibly waiting for her soldier to return home.

When set to the film’s imagery, it seems to also be pertinent to worrying about a soldier who is wrestling with the traumas of war.

“Where did you go my love? I need to know you’re safe,” she sings. “I need to see your face / has anybody seen my soldier standing all alone? Has anybody seen my soldier?”

Shania fans are anxiously awaiting her new album Now, which is due out on Sept. 29. The record is Twain’s first full-length project since 2002. She will also be touring for much of 2018 in support of her new music.

I feel that this song is definitely touching.  I don’t even know the struggle they have to undergo to continue surviving in this world post service.No one can definitely imagine the difficulty of living with PTSD, much more so living with your husband who is suffering from it.
