Rarely do we hear stories of a couple who have been together for a long time before they planned to get married. Furthermore, being in a long distance is difficult to manage, but for Scotty and Gabi it’s something they worked out. Because when you love someone no matter what you have to make it work.

The Wedding

The countdown is finally over. Scotty McCreery and Gabi Dugal finally tied the knot on June 16, Saturday morning, in the mountains of North Carolina. It was a beautiful ceremony packed with 200 guests from family to their friends according to People.

The couple exchange vows that were personality written by them. Dugal wore an elegant, white V-neck gown by Morilee. The wedding is very classic as the color scheme was a combination of black, white and gold only. The music for their first dance as husband and wife was Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” In addition, they opted for assorted pies instead of a big, white wedding cake.

The Engagement

If you can remember Scotty McCreery proposed to his six-year girlfriend Gabi Dugal last year of September at Grandfather Mountain. It is where the couple liked to hike. Scotty also wrote a song, “This Is It,” which is about how he proposed to his girlfriend. The song, “This is It,” came out this year and was part of his record-breaking album Seasons Change.

How did they meet?

The two met when they were in high school. They have been dating for six years. Scotty has been busy working on his songs and albums while Dugal works as a Pediatric nurse at Duke University. Despite the distance and hectic schedule, the two were able to sort things out. Scotty visits Dugal, and Dugal visits Scotty if they have some free time.

According to People, Scotty and Gabi McCreery are going to have their honeymoon on the tropical island of Tahiti this coming Tuesday.
