Country stars, Travis Tritt, Shania Twain, and Jake Owens know what it takes to make it in the country music industry. Now, they’re putting their collective knowledge to use in the search for the next star for country music. Moreover, the trio of country music stars serves as the Judges for USA Network’s new reality search,  “Real Country.” The said TV show is airing at 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

What Happens in the Competition

The Celebrity Judges of “Real Country” with Kane Brown as the guest judge.

Each of the celebrity will choose a group of contestants to go head-to-head with singers selected by the two other stars. Three up-and-comers perform every episode, then a combination of guest panelists and audience vote determines the winner. At the end of the season, the winners from each episode will compete to win 100,000 dollars and a chance to perform in the Grand Ole Opry.

In an interview, Shania Twain said:

“I’ve been in the industry 45 years. I think by now I know what the audience wants. I’m not here to please the industry. I’m here to get out there and do music that connects with people. I’m doing this show to take action toward change. This — art, music — should be all about inclusion. There’s no room for exclusivity in art. Art is a form of expression, communication between artist and public.”

What Artist Think of the “Real Country”

“Real Country” is being filmed in the Music City, Nashville. The contestants include singer-songwriter Jamie Floyd, who wrote Ashley Monroe’s “The Blade”; Jaida Dreyer, who penned the Luke Bryan, Karen Fairchild chart-topper “Home Alone Tonight”; and popular Nashville performer Scooter Brown.

According to Scooter Brown, when asked about his experience about “Real Country:”

“Everybody that I worked with, from the producers to the artists, everybody was great. Any artist they had on the show on any given day could have won, depending on who was in the audience. For Travis to pick me for the show meant a lot, and to see his reaction to my performance made it all worth it. I’d do it again.”

Also, Travis Tritt explained that the singers who were chosen to be in the show “aren’t rookies” and they know who they are as artists and where they fit into the creative landscape. Furthermore, he said:

 “We’re giving them an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of a huge audience across the world on television. I feel very confident that there’s going to be record label deals, there’s going to be publishing deals, there’s going to be booking agent deals that come because of this show.”
