Sometimes, we think that celebrities are just hungry for power, fame, and money. Thus, they always live in a lavish life. But, let’s not generalize, shall we? There are a lot of artists who are humble and always help charitable institutions. One of them is Dolly Parton. Aside from her sweet and cute personality, she also has a pure and kind heart.
2019 MusiCares Person of The Year
She is included in the Country Music Hall of Fame, Grammy Music Hall of Fame, and Gospel Music Hall of Fame. In addition, she composed a jaw-dropping 3000 songs. No wonder, her artistry was recognized by these organizations. I guess you will easily remember her once you’ve heard her signature song “Jolene.” Well folks, let’s give a round of applause to Dolly Parton.
Aside from being a country superstar, Dolly Parton is also a philanthropist. In fact, she supports a lot of charitable institutions and events. Anyhow, one of her biggest contributions is when she started promoting literacy to children. Hence, she created “Imagination Library,” which aims to give children free books. For the record, the organization is able to donate 100 Million Books worldwide.

MusiCares was established on December 29, 1993, and it works as a charity institution. Also, they honor the artists who were able to change people’s lives in terms of their charitable works. Back in September 2018, Dolly Parton was announced as the 2019 MusiCares Person of The Year due to her charitable works that changed people’s lives.
The most exciting part of this event is the star-studded line of performers to honor Dolly Parton. Anyhow, the awarding will commence in February 2019, and I hope that you, too, are excited about the performances. In closing, the people who will honor Parton are also Grammy winners. These include Vince Gill, Don Henley, Kacey Musgraves, Mavis Staples, and Willie Nelson.
