Currently holding the title of the most-watched original scripted series telecast ever on Paramount Network, Yellowstone is a series to look forward to for country fanatics. Why? Aside from its rough and tumble drama and the inclusion of independent country music artists on the series’ soundtrack will tickle the interest of the viewers.
Last week, the song “Keep the Wolves Away” by Whiskey Myers, a Texas Southern rock band aired on the show’s fourth episode. The band was also given a pretty good exposure on the screen. This resulted in their albums to shoot up in the iTunes Chart. Other featured country hits in episode 1 include Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey,” and “Trouble About My Soul” from the Texas country music supergroup The Trishas. Two more songs were featured in episode 2- Billy Joe Shaver’s “Goodbye Yesterday” and Whitney Morgan and the 78’s version of Johnny Cash’s “Bad News.”
Yellowstone becomes even more compelling to follow along with the soundtracks and appearances from worthy artists. The episodes have become even cooler with the publicity it provides for independent country artists.

Yellowstone
Yellowstone is a fiercely engrossing Paramount series starring Kevin Costner. The plot centers on the conflicts along the shared borders of an Indian reservation. The area is a large cattle ranch and Yellowstone National Park. It follows the chronicle of the Dutton family, who undergoes certain circumstances because of land and property issues. Also, the series will showcase the best and worst side of American families.
The western-themed drama premiered on June 20, 2018. And the viewers expect some twists for the second series. Other members of the cast include Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton, Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler, and Kelsey Asbille as Monica Dutton. The unpredictable storyline came from the creative writing of Taylor Sheridan.
Yellowstone reached over 4.8 million viewers on its two hours premiere. And by the third episode, it interestingly became the second most-watched series on ad-supported cable to air in 2018.
