Pop Country sensation Kane Brown teams up with RnB superstar Khalid for an amazing crossover song entitled “Saturday Nights.”
The country star’s deep vocals definitely finessed its way into the song. He introduces a new second verse that deepens the back story for the woman that is featured in the song.
Saturday nights, your works shoes are stilettos
Smell of cheap perfume
Makeup on your face, try to hide the pain
All the lies, they look like the truth
Deep in your heart, all you want is love
But you never felt good enough
You got wrapped up in other plans
But this ain’t the way the story ends
It demonstrates the versatility that Brown has as a vocalist. The perfect blend between Khalid’s high vocal ranges and Brown’s deep creamy vocals is perfection for the song.
Brown announced the pair up on his Twitter account with him singing to the chorus of the song.
“Saturday Nights” tells a story of two individuals who understand each other’s problems. And they could only escape it on a Saturday night, when they are together. The song originally appears in Khalid’s EP “Suncity.”
The remix is amazing. You should go take a listen right now!
The Original
Khalid hits us with his usual flavor of intimate beats together with his smooth voice. The song vibes with his brand, in his subdued yet heartfelt way of singing the lyrics. The gritty guitar in the background certainly gives enough wiggle room for the remix!

Brown’s second album “Experiment” dropped in November, and it featured his number one song “Lose It.” There is a new version of it posted on his Vevo account. Khalid’s “Suncity” was released in October last year. It currently sits at no. 45 on the Billboard 200.
