As a matter of fact, her recording of this tune was one of her come back performances to her roots. Fans and supporters of Grant have witnessed her rise to fame both in gospel and pop music. While her intent to widen her audience by embracing the pop music world turned successful, the singer never forgot to go back to where she came from.

Her comeback journey to gospel music started in 2002. And this time, she brought her present husband and country musician Vince Gill with herOn that year, Grant released her album of hymns called Legacy… Hymns and Faith. A mixture of bluegrass and pop influenced by Gill was so prevalent in this album. Also, it played a significant role in Grant’s career as it marked her 25th anniversary in the industry. The sequel to this project came out in 2005. Entitled Rock of Ages… Hymns and Faith, the album was where the hymn “Rock of Ages” was recorded. It also became her 11th Christian album to top the related music chart.
