This concert marks the King of Country Music, George Strait’s only show in Atlanta since his final tour, “Cowboy Rides Away” back on June 7, 2014, when he announced that he would no longer be touring and only perform at selected engagements in the future.

Even though the date is still far away, we know that the world of country music will be thrilled about this concert. George Strait, the King of Country Music, will be performing at the Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia and the date will be on March 30, 2019. The Troubadour will be joined with none other than the 2018  CMA and ACM Male Vocalist of the Year, Chris Stapleton. Not only that, Chris Janson and Ashley McBryde will also have a special performance at the concert. The tickets go on sale on November 16, 10 am ET time through Ticketmaster.com

He Wouldn’t be a King for Nothing

Being unmatched, George Strait has a whopping 60 songs that topped the Country Charts. He accomplished this during his three-decade career, and it is still more than any other artist in any genre. That made King George the “King of Country Music.” In addition to that, he has collected 33 Platinum of Multi-platinum-selling albums which is more than any other country artists.

Moreover, that record for his album is behind only The Beatles and Elvis Presley. George Strait is the only act in history to have a Top 10 hit every year for thirty years straight. He also sold nearly 70 million albums and more than 60 major entertainment industry awards.

Since the record-breaking Cowboy Rides Away Tour, King George has performed for limited engagement which includes 18 “Strait to Vegas” shows. In addition to his 2018 performances is two nights in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a one night in Austin Texas. He also was a headlining appearance at Bayou Country Superfest for a sold-out Mercedes-Benz Superdome crowd in New Orleans. King George will wrap up 2018 with a return to T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on December 7 and 8.
