Apart from her preparation for her tour and her recently released album “Now,” Twain had some time and energy to squeeze in some more projects! She recently wrapped up her filming on the upcoming film with Travolta.

Twain plays Becca, the love interest to Travolta’s Sam, a rugged dirt track racing legend and mechanic. Problems arise when Sam’s son, Cam, decides to go off and compete as a race car driver with the intention of bagging a championship for himself too.

This marks Twain’s first movie since her 1997 movie “That Don’t Impress Me Much.” and “I Heart Huckabees.” And, this is her first non-cameo role either. Fans are excited to see her acting muscles flex in the silver screen. And from the trailer alone, they can’t help but note that she is a natural at acting!

Shania’s Thoughts

Twain describes her character lovingly in an interview:

“I’m Becca in the movie. I’m a school teacher in a small southern town, just starting my life over from being a big city girl and I find love in a dirt car racer. It’s a really sweet movie and the actors are just so strong.”

Twain had some gracious words for her co-stars as well as the project in an interview that she gave to Sounds Like Nashville.

We finished it a couple weeks ago and that was just an incredible experience. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed getting to know John. He’s a very sweet person. I’ve known him for several years now just on short little chats, but now [working on] this movie, we got to know each other a little bit better. I’m just lucky to have this film experience because he’s been very nurturing. He coached me through it.”

The movie is said to drop on the 22nd of February!
