About the Song
Released in May 2011, “Remind Me” was recorded by West Virginia-born country music singer Brad Paisley. The song features Oklahoman native singer Carrie Underwood. It was the third single from Paisley’s 2011 album This Is Country Music. In addition, Paisley co-wrote this song with Kelley Lovelace and Chris DuBois. On the other hand, American record producer and songwriter, Frank Rogers produced the song under the Arista Nashville Record label.
The song’s theme is about a married couple in seek of rekindling the flame of their relationship they once carried.
A Paisley-Underwood Collaboration
In an interview in June 2011, Underwood described the recording of the song as
“the most unorganized thing [she] had ever been a part of” but added that it “all worked out so perfectly.”

Brad said:
“This is my first desert video. I always said I wouldn’t do one of those cliche desert videos but (director) Robert (Deaton) pitched his idea and it all made sense. It’s a big metaphor – Carrie and I are walking towards one another. It’s as symbolic as it gets in reference to the song.”
Meanwhile, Carrie added:
“It was important to us that the video be shot with a sophisticated approach. The song and recording came together in such a wonderful, natural way. We wanted the video to also be something we could be proud of… and we are!”
However, in May 2013, songwriter Amy Bowen filed a $10 million lawsuit against the song’s writers, claiming that they had stolen the idea from a song that she wrote in 2007.
