In 2008, George Strait released his 56^th number one song entitled ‘I Saw God Today’ and it gave a different sense of knowing God in the eyes of the King of Country.

Penned by Rodney Clawson, Monty Criswell and Wade Kirby, ‘I Saw God Today’ easily found its way to the top when it debuted on the 19^th spot later on climbing on the number one spot. On the same year it was released, George Strait won ‘Single of the Year’ in the CMA Awards.

This heavenly inspiring song tells the story of a man walking on a sidewalk after his wife delivered their baby. It basically gives a different perspective on how we can see God on the different creatures and natural phenomena around us like the sunset. It gives an instant meaning to the metaphor that you don’t have to literally see God as a spirit if you can just look around and see the creations he made.
