The 2018 CMA awards proved to be a glitzy night as several country artists graced its red carpet. They also wowed us with their amazing performances and great showmanship.

The nominees for these three categories are huge stars in the country music industry. Chris Stapleton has been the biggest buzz of the whole night, with a whopping 5 nominations. Three of which are here. Here are the amazing artists!

Single of the Year

 I’m honestly not surprised that Stapleton bagged this one. The cadence of this song is impeccable. And his sweet baritone made it the song all that gritty and soulful.

The song of the year is awarded to the fabulous songwriters of these amazing songs. Here are the nominees!

“Broken Halos,” Chris Stapleton (Chris Stapleton, Mike Henderson) –  Stapleton nailed it with this song, so it’s not a huge surprise that he wins this one, together with songwriter Mike Henderson. The lyrics of this song is absolutely gorgeous. I suggest you listen to it right now!

“The Mountain,” Dierks Bentley (Producers: Ross Copperman, Jon Randall Stewart and Arturo Buenahora Jr.)

“Golden Hour, Kacey Musgraves (Producers: Ian Fitchuk, Daniel Tashian and Kacey Musgraves) – What an absolutely stunning win for Kacey Musgraves! This album offers a different, softer and more vulnerable side of her. Her tracks are catchy, and are a well-mixed blend of country and other musical influences.
