Participants applying the topics discussed through hands on training.

The Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation Inc. continues to provide opportunities to strengthen practical skills needed for the project’s sustainability. On December 13, 2016, training on the operation and maintenance of the Amburayan River Project Website was conducted. Facilitated by the Linkage Web developer, this was participated by the JVOFI project staff, DENR-EMB (MIS Section) of Regions CAR and I, and provincial TWG members of Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Benguet.

Participants were taught about the different principles of operating an effective web page, including design principles and functions of Word Press. After which, a hands-on activity was conducted to enable the participants to apply what they have learned.

This training is a requirement prior to the website’s most anticipated launching early 2017.

Training minds, building wisdom—an opportunity worth strengthening and preserving.

Protecting and Defending the Amburayan River Basin and Watershed through Good Governance and Active Peoples’ Participation is a project funded by the USAID through the Gerry Roxas Foundation (GRF) and is implemented by the Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation Inc.  (JVOFI).
